Is what I am doing going to last for eternity? Am I building up treasures in heaven, sending it on ahead, or am I just making daisy chains and wasting precious time here on earth?  I can fill my days with making crafts, or decorating, or taking photos, but really, what am I doing for God’s Kingdom? Am I making a difference in someone’s life?  Am I helping someone?  Am I being the face of Christ to a world that is searching for Him?  Do I share with others what God is doing in my life? These are some of the questions that I have been thinking about for years.

I accepted Jesus as my Savior around the age of 41. From there on out, my life should look different from one who does not know Christ or has not admitted their sinfulness and accepted God’s gift of forgiveness through Jesus Christ. “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”  (Romans Chapter 3, verse 23.)  So, does my life look different? Can people tell I am a Christian?

In doing this blog, I want to share how God is working in my life. I’m on a journey of faith, and I hope through my stories you will see as I have seen, the hand of God working in a woman’s life. People think miracles only happened in ‘the olden days’, the days when God walked the earth as Jesus Christ. Well, guess what? God is not dead. He is alive and doing very well, thank you. And since He is alive, He is still fully capable of doing miracles–every day!. Open your eyes and see what God can do.

  1. If Jesus hadn’t left and gone back to heaven, He couldn’t have sent the Holy Spirit to the earth. It is better that He is gone and the Holy Spirit is here, as the Holy Spirit is in every Christian. Jesus was only one place at a time. Now He is all over the world in His children. The Holy Spirit is here to convict the world of sin, and righteousness, and judgment

  2. I like your style, Jesus means something to you & you don’t like you’re happy with mediocrity or “religion” – saved at 41, there must a good story there then?

    Love the cow photo!

  3. Amen! Jesus IS alive! Awake sleepers, Jesus IS alive and I have a river of Life flowing inside of me and it never runs dry–His Holy Spirit! I just started writing a blog in October out of obedience to God and the purpose is to testify He is alive and to share my journey too. I’m glad He had me find you 😉

    • I know it looks like I’m ‘late’ on replying, but I just re-read your comment and was convicted by your words. Yes, Jesus IS alive! Not still wrapped in burial shrouds, not still in a cave, not still in the ground… but alive and in heaven seated next to His Father–God. Jesus is God in flesh who walked this earth over 2,000 years ago. He was chosen to be the sacrifice for our sin because He was sinless. God would not/could not use a ‘blemished’ sacrifice to pay the price for our sin. Thank you Lord, for being alive, for hearing my prayers, for knowing me better than I know myself. Thank you Lord for taking perfect care of me.

  4. Joy, I am truly grateful to be a participant in your blogging. I will look forward to reading it regularly. All of us are on a journey of faith. Life is short; so what if you understood the truth of Jesus when you are 18 or 41 or even 91? It seems that the more we know we are forgiven, the more the love of Christ becomes real to us, and Christ becomes Life instead of a religion.

  5. Love your blog, Joy! And where you stand. Could especially relate to your Moving Story: Abundantly and Exceedingly. So much of what you wrote is what my husband and I are thinking, praying about, experiencing. Especially your comments about “corporate church” — such a far cry from true fellowship with believers. Organized church, while not entirely bad, can really help turn people away from Christ. Thanks for sharing. I’m following you!

  6. Would you mind very much putting a “Follow” widget on your blog so I can follow you?
    thanks so much
ps – thank you for coming over and reading and liking my blog.

    • Hi Robin, there is a ‘Follow’ widget either at the bottom or right hand side of my page. I’ve had some trouble with my layout changing, and I’ve noticed it appears differently here than on my KINDLE.

  7. First, thanks for following me back. I’m Mulsim, but that didn’t stop me to follow you becasue to me there’s one GOD and there’s similar basic rules for every religion, just shaped differently, therefor reading you articles will help me stay more motivated towards being/staying a good person every single day, so thank you !

and by the way I found you on Nutsrok page, you’ve posted a comment which said “……someone just leaving a comment on my blog is more than enough reward!” and I felt so good, so like you I had to follow you, I just had to 🙂

I'd be interested in hearing what you think!
